Introduction and key issues

In the building sector, our customer, a major player, was faced with a critical problem: the use of Loctite-type liquid threadlocker glue was not under control, leading to pollution and quality problems, ranging from excess glue to no glue at all on M8x150 and M10x150 stainless steel screws.

Analysis of the solutions

Faced with this problem, our team undertook trials with different solutions for pre-coating the screws and preventing the product from rising.
Three options were tested:

The test results were conclusive with Soprifix SO21B, a two-component epoxy adhesive. This solution demonstrated its effectiveness, meeting the requirements of DIN 267-27 as specified in the customer’s specifications.
